The word "not" is only three letters long, yet it can change the meaning of a sentence entirely. It's also a very slippery word that can fit into many different places in a sentence.

Where can the word "not" fit into the following sentence?

John did tell Emily that there was enough sugar and salt but without making her feel bad.

Insert commas where needed in order to keep the sentence grammatically correct.
