Today we will:

  • Turn in KWL sheet from Islamophobia article.

  • Journal

  • Present blogs

  • Choose your two favorite posts to share and be sure to e-mail the link to me.

  • Begin our poetry unit <3

Homework:

  • Finish analyzing “The Black Snake” and “The Meadow Mouse”

  • How does understanding a poet’s life and historical context help us understand a poem?

  • How can we determine the meaning of a poem?

  • How is poetry relevant to our lives?

  • What are the different forms of poetry and prose?

  • How can we use voice, body language, and visuals to interpret a poem for an audience?
